Spelling Journal

The Spelling Journal contains pages to collect and organize words based on phonograms and spelling rules. This student-created reference reinforces phonics knowledge and helps students master the spelling of words. The journal is organized first by sounds and then by spelling and contains a: 

• Sound-to-spelling reference
• Phonogram chart
• Spelling rules reference

Although the Spelling Journal is designed to be used with the Essentials curriculum, it may also be used independently.
